Famous synagogue designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). Unfortunately I only saw it from the outside. You can book tours on the website of the synagogue but you have to do it in advance. From the outside it looks a little bit like a sailboat or some kind of Aztec or Mayan pyramid, reconnecting visually with Wright's earlier work in Los Angeles.

Must visit Frank Lloyd Wright designed synagogue.
The staff is very friendly. There is 20$ fee for guided tour. They tell you the history of this place and details about architectural elements.
They also have clean restrooms and gift shop.

Funny how you can fail to visit places that you grow up around until you’re old or someone from out of town comes through.
After missing out on this place for 30+ years, I finally visited it twice in the past year or so. It has the feel of a theater. The first time I went it was pouring outside so there was a symphony of drips inside and some sort of live plant installation. Pretty cool.
Very sad for them to call themselves a community...rather they push away those that contribute the most in favor of those who donate the most money. Dedicated employee and daily removed, with family plaques lost carelessly. A beacon of what Frank Lloyd Wright held as the truth for jews...

Got to tour this place a few years ago, and it was one of the more impressive Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in my opinion. It was awesome to hear about how he connected the faith of these people to the design of the synagogue. I would highly recommend taking time to tour if you are an architectural fan at all.
